MAIN CHARACTERS

-Sheldon: he is one of the protagonists of “The Big Bang Theory”. He is Leonard and Penny’s neighbour. He is a very clever man but he has great difficulties in his social life because he is a truly bizarre “nerd”.

                                     

-Penny: she is the female protagonist and she’ll become Leonard's wife. She is an attractive girl and she has a full social life.

-Leonard: he is an experimental physicist and a very intelligent man. He is also interested in fantasy-literature and in history. He likes music and plays the violin.

-Raj: he is an Indian astrophysicist and Howard’s bestfriend. He always had a crush on Penny but because of his selective dumbness he never had a dialogue with her.

-Howard: he is an aerospace engineer and he loves his mother even though   he has a row with her  from time to time. He was abandoned by his father when he was 11.

10 THINGS YOU DON’T KNOW ABOUT THE BIG BANG THEORY

1. PENNY WHO?

In the first episodes there was not Penny but Kate, excluded by the producers because she didn’t pass the audience’s test.

2. FOT THE LOVE OF SCIENZE

Mayin Bialik ,the actress who plays Blossom, is the only real scientist of the cast.

3. FOR LOVE…AND NOTHING ELSE

Johnny Galeki (Leonard) and Kally Cuoco (Penny) got engaged in secret for two years, while they were shooting the sitcom.

4. DEUS EX MACHINA

Chuck Lorre, The Big Bang Theory’s producer,  created other famous sitcoms like “Dharma & Greg” and “Two and a half men”.

5. MOBILE SET

A lot of scenes of the series were shot on the stairs and on the landing of the building where the protagonists live: but, actually, the three grounds are always the same, only set.

6. STAGE TRICKS

Leonard’s glasses are fake. Sometimes they haven’t even got lenses.

7. TO EACH ONE HIS … BEE  

Sheldon’s  famous  phrase “EUGLOSSA BAZINGA” now is the name of a bee subspecies, discovered by Andre Nemesio.

8. SPOCK WHO?

In the sitcom Sheldon is a big fan of “Star Trek” but Jim Parsons, who plays Sheldon, has never watched the film.

9. LIKE HUEY,DEWEY & LOUIE

At first, the Big Bang Theory had to be  called Lenny, Penny and Kenny. Do you think it would have had the same success?

10. MATE SHELDON

In Belarus they produced  an imitation  of the series called “The Theorist”: the protagonists are four guys Sheldon, Leo, Hovard and Raj and they have a blonde neighbour, Natasha.

S: I wouldn’t tell you the secret. Ssh!

L: What secret? Tell me the secret.

S: Mom smokes in the car. Jesus is okay but we cant’t tell dad.

L: Not that secret, the other secret!

S: I’M BATMAAAAN…SSHH!
